JBI Makes an 8ft dipsy rod thats great for smaller boats...Nice soft tip with a pile of backbone...Could use them for just about anything really...

I prefer the longer 9'6" Daiwa Heartland rods for my dipsys

I like the new Abu Garcia Vendetta Linecounter Series. They have a 8'6" telescopic medium heavy that is perfect for dipsies. I'm selling my old Ugly Stik dipsy rods BWDD1100100 10' if you want. I have 2 of them, 30$ a piece, a 60$ rod retail.

The Rodmaker's Shoppe has a couple different Diawa and other brand "beginner" dipsy rods in stock ranging in price from $20 to $30 for several different lengths and actions. Ray showed me the $20 Diawas during the St. Jude Walleye seminar and said the shop would be having a sale during an in-store show coming up in the next few weeks. I'm planning to get a set of 6 then.
