Is anyone having any luck? This has been the worst year for me for eyes at pymie besides the spawn.

Tried pulling worm harnesses, flicker shad, tots and all I get are small white perch, perch or bluegill if I go shallow I've had better luck musky fishing lately!

Wait a few weeks till the water cools down some. Should be better by mid September.
Good luck on your charter Narcman!!!

The last time I fished Pymy in August, we caught 1 or 2 each day drift fishing from about 100 yds south the causeway to 500 yds south of the causeway. Was a little east of the middle of the lake. In that section, the old river bed takes a big turn and you are drifting over a hump that goes from 20' to 15'. That hump has wood snags all over it. Almost got my anchor stuck on one. Fished there for about 5 days. Caught a 100 catfish and 10 walleye. Found some nice yellow perch one day. Lots of other guys trolling in that section.

I have been getting 2 or 3 each time out. Nothing great but getting a few. Been getting them on Flicker Shads and shaky Shads trolling behind boards and leadcore in 21-23ft of water. Trust your electronics to see were fish are in water column. I’ve been running my lures 10-13 ft down in 21-23ft of water. Seem to be suspended most days right under the bait fish. Just make sure to run your lures above the fish.

i went last weekend and did well on the eyes. id side scan an area and locate some eyes, then go over them with 2d. id then drop a #7 perch or gill colored jiggin rap straight to the bottom and aggressively snap jig. This is my go to technique during summer. landed 17 or so in about 9hrs. some good ones too. all fish released
