We conentrated on the sand bars today. Woohoo, what a waste of time and energy that was. I'm really begining to think I've forgotten how to fish inland. We did manage to catch another healthy white bass, oh boy! Highlight of the day was the pizza at Covered Bridge on the way home. Next week, Lake Erie here I come.

Hey George, we went out there with intentions of trolling but I ran into trouble with my fish finder so I had to stick to small areas where I knew the depth and bottom structure. I'd start my fishfinder up and no matter what depth we were in within two minutes it would read 19.5 feet. This kind of killed trolling as an option since I'd have no idea if we were in 7' or 27'. I haven't used this boat I'm in for 5 or 6 years so there is some trial and error pains going on.

If we head back there in the near future trolling that area is the plan. I had just got a couple of new chrome and blue tots from BPS but didn't even get a chance to get them wet. Another thing we had going on was we fished the worst possible time of day. We couldn't get there until noon and by 5pm the whole fishfinder thing had me disgusted. We'll get em next time.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck Rob.
I hit it around 7am saturday and had 4 walleye in an hour all over 19''
and all in less than 7 fow. Biggest went 22'' on the nose.
Also got a few lm bass and 5 real nice smallies, the biggest went 3.7lb.
on one of my favorite spots.
The water temp. went from 50 to 57 from 7am to 3pm so bass fishing
wont be to go for to much longer.
good luck to all.

Glad to hear someone was catching them Smallie. I've been fishing "The Tune" off and on since I was three and have had some outstanding years there. I caught 85 eyes in one day there with my ex-wife. It was a shame to waste that great day of fishing on such a wonderful person. I've had other days there where we'd fish one sand bar in particular and catch 4 or 5 fish every single drift up or down it. Really nice mixed bags of eyes, bass, crappie and gills. I just can't seem to get it going this year but my time will come.
