Sorry to bring this up i know its been discussed here numerous times but i couldnt find anything under the newbie thread. Someone had mentioned a certain brand of mono that has little line memory and doesnt bird nest to bad, maybe it was erie outfitters or someone that reccomended it and they in turn talked about it here. Maybe Suffix? Not very happy with the siglon I used last year.

I fished and my eyes were freezing,it work good for me,i never fished in very cold, when line is freezing, older line soak more water, you would have to rub the line, with wax or lipstick,or you have to cary extra spool with mono,or spray that with winchiled viper fluid,

wd-40 works on braid. First ingredient in wd-40 is fish oil ;). I used braided spiderwire all winter and it was good. Just wished they made spiderwire in fluorescent colors. The olive color blends into the water too much

I didn't know suffix made a mono line but they make a pretty good braid. if I'm using mono I like trilene xl the xl stands for extra limp. it is less stiff and has less memory than any other mono I have used.

I'm using the pline hydra float. I love it. The line floats so it's easy to gain line back if you have slack in the line and a fish hits. Also a better drag free drift. Also it is yellow and easy to see. I would take a look at it. Fishusa $12.99 for a 150 yd spool.

Only problem is that u can't fish other ways with it only for float fishing.

I'm a big fan of the Sufix Siege line. Durable and gets the job done quite nicely. Always match your line/leader to your rod. That way you're not risking snapping a rod in half or something along those lines lol. +100 on having your leader at least 2lbs lighter than your main line.
