Fishing is so good in Huron right now. Parking lot was insanely busy Saturday.

 

nothing wrong with the western basin either,pulled my 6 north of port clinton on bandits 60,70,and 80 unassisted and i was the ONLY boat at the launch all day,off the water by 200,no hogs just good eaters

 

Agreed! We jigged out of Mazuricks Saturday and Sunday and crushed them. 3 man limits by 9am one day and 10am the other. Screw those big crowds and way more fun on the jig rods to boot

We did good yesterday and today out of Huron Bandits unassisted 115 to 140 1.3 to 1.6

 

Yes the parking lot was very VERY busy but everyone was so polite and the launch and recovery went very quick . Heck even the gentlemen in the fancy glitter boats took the time to talk to me in my garbage scow duck boat.

 

Always has to be a downer. Jigging sounds fun but for some trolling is more fun and customers like it better. Those of us that have little to no feeling in our hands from injuries suffered at work trolling is the ONLY way we can have fun and catch fish. Honestly it doesn't matter how you catch them as long as you have fun doing it. I have been at it long enough I don't even care if I get anymore as long as I go out and come home safe.

 

I agree anyway is fun but if you can hold a rod and reel them in 200+ft, you can hold a rod vertical jigging and reel them in 30ft if you wanted right? I mean doesn't matter to me at all just a thought I had

Back in the day, everyone jigged around Sandusky Bay/ Marblehead for ice out eyes. My buddy has a 14lb. Eye hanging on the wall from one of those trips. Can be tremendously productive this time of year.
