I have cuaght them all the way to the GR damn but thats not the norm.

 

I have to agree. I have caught them behind the school at Waterville. We also floated that part of the river, all the way down to Orleans Park. It seemed like near the 475 bridge & the Maumee Bridge, both sides, had a larger concentration of walleyes.

 

I think there is a reason the crowds are around maumee. My best day last year(by far) I was just doing catch and release waiting for my bro to get his 4, then we went up near waterville just to see what was there. I only got 2, nobody else that was with us got any. There was a bald eagle flying around, so it was fun, but the fish seem to concentrate near maumee area. I think they drop their stuff in that area and then hang around a little before heading back to the lake.
