Great day out of Edgewater but...

Was on the water by 630 with the old man and headed to the crib. Casting and drifting starting hooking up right away. A lot of marks and a lot of shorts, but steady action. Pops hooks into something big and takes him at least 10 minutes to bring in. Here is the beauty brought in on 8 lb test!!
Starting catching some keepers, then...boat wouldn’t start! I’ve never had an issue with it before ever but no go. Tried a handful of things to no avail. Thank God for TowBoat.US insurance!! Although it was a calm day, being out by the crib in my 16.5 basstracker that wouldn’t start is a bit unnerving. Needless to say, great day with my dad and had a relaxing tow in. Going to take a look today and hopefully it’s nothing major. Tight lines

Those big catfish are fun to hook into when walleye fishing! Never know if it's a hog walleye or sheep/catfish until it gets close. And yes, I think TowBoatUS is a requirement to be out on the big lake. Happy to hear you made it off safe!

Glad that you made it back safely. I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. Main motor wouldn't start back up and had to use my kicker to bring us back about 7 miles in 3-4 footers. How long did it take for them to get out and tow you?

When I had to use my kicker to get back in, I thought I was going to run out of gas in that 3 gallon tank. We would have been screwed because we were getting close to the rocks at Edgewater. I bought some longer hose, so now, just in case of emergency, I can connect my main tank to the kicker and run it all day.

Glad you had the tow.........must have been early, didn't see anyone getting a lift

2 Man limit in 1.5 hours, 8am to 930, only kept 18" and bigger. Many throwbacks, 3 rods singing at the same time was crazy............took my sister, so launch was tougher than normal, came back to a CG safety check, all good.............thanks to the gent on the winch hook assist versus Sis getting her feet wet lol

Most fish about 32 down in 45-52 fow, all on harnesses plus 2oz., old-fashioned flatline 140 fol at 1.8 mph

We are heading up this afternoon and your post has convinced me to get boat usa. Hopefully I never have to use it. Unlimited tows and added the additional trailer coverage it was $86 for the year. Glad they got you back safe!
Yes, definitely get the trailer coverage. The leaf spring on the right side decide to break, letting the axle go back on that side. I was lucky to get it off the road. They sent a flat bed with winch, and ended up taking it to my repair place. That would have cost a fortune without insurance. Th extra $10 or so is well worth it.

I lost a wheel and tire coming back from fl in dec down on I-75 in a construction zone. don't know for sure what happened. the center of the wheel was still bolted to the hub but the spindle was shot. I was at a loss didn't know what to do. it was getting a little late about 10:30 pm. then after a few minutes I remembered I had trailer assist. I called boat us and they got my boat towed. the fender was gone the spindle was junk. it was going to cost around 300.00 just to get a new spindle installed. then I would need a hub, tail light, fender, and so on. they had a used trailer the let me have for 550.00 with the boat switched. the tow didnt cost me anything. and boat us did a great job finding me a tow.
