Did you rinse them well in creek water until they firmed up a bit? If not, you can do that with spring water at home(just dont use treated city water). If you plan on using the eggs up within the next month or so, you don't even need to cure IMO...just keep refridgerated. Otherwise, yes, you can wait until tomorrow or even next week to finally cure your eggs. Call Erie Outfitters, they have a good cure. At home, you can use Borax straight or add some Jello powder to the Borax..just lightly coat the eggs with the powder and you're good to go(same process with store bought cures). Good Luck.

I use Pautzke's Borxfire. I've met guys at the river who have tried this one: http://www.thefishingoddess.com/AngieEggCure_page.htm

You might check steelhead university-they have some info too.

Also, consider freezing small portions of skein. The day before you go out fishing, take whatever you need out of the freezer (and no more) and place in refrigerator. They will have thawed by morning-you can make your sacks.

I use both cured and uncured eggs at different times. Sometimes cured works better than uncured and vice versa. I don't have the data but I think uncured is the way to go.
