Guys- I have not been to IL either. I am planning on taking the boat up on Sunday, time is not planned, but in the am for an all day trip. I will be leaving Polaris area and passing through Dublin. I've got the boat and gas if anyone wants to go...

just talked to my uncle 5 min ago, he sauge'd for 3 hours this morning and never had a hit, and trust me he knows where to go, what to use and all that good stuff. the bite was dead he said. Warm from gotta shut down.

I'm gonna try tomorrow AM myself. I'm driving a white chevy Colorado towing a tan 16' Sea Nymph with a 25 Merc. If I'm reading the reports correctly, I need Vibe's and jerkbaits, maybe some jigs.

 

Bmagill, that is affirmative. Live bait was also workin for the vertical jiggers in the deeper holes. Did see a few popped on live bait under slip bobbers too.

Could I catch a ride there and back with someone? I wouldn't mind fishing from shore if a boat seat is not available. I live at bethel/sawmill in columbus or I would be more than willing to meet at your place when you are leaving. Would chip in for gas, etc. Or if someone wants to go in my canoe call me. Just not sure I want to make the trip alone. I will have my cell phone on me and feel free to call until midnight. thanks.

OK everyone I want reports to see what I missed. The carp were not interested in our strawberry, vanilla flavored sweet corn at the galena cove at alum and the muskie weren't jumping onto our lures below the spillway either.
