Went out for the cats today down by the dam. If you are looking at the dam from the lake, I was working the left side right in front of the no boats bouies. I was using my anchor to try and find a hole or dropoff and hit something hard like a rock. Used my motor to drag the anchor along, whatever it was seemed to be good sized. Didn't feel like rocks or boulders. Any idea what this could be? I was thinking concrete slabs maybe. Really got me curious.

I've found what seem to be concrete slabs in several places out there. I'll see a real strong return on the sonar and a flat bottom. Think I snagged up on one by the islands near 43 last time I was catfishing.

Also, there's several sunken bridges in that lake. I've found three, but there may be more. Not going to give away their locations.

I used my underwater camera to get a look at them. They're still relatively intact, the planks and supports are still there. Never seen too many fish around them, but they're below the thermocline most of the year.

I posted a few of the vid clips I took of the bridges in a set on my flickr page. The video quality isn't great because I was recording the video screen with my pocket camera. The poor water clarity in Mogadore really cuts down the camera range too.

Yep, there are several submerged bridges in the lake. My dad fished that lake for close to 30 years and knows every one of them. LOVE that lake. I practically grew up on it with being there every weekend for most of my life.
