"Bond was set at $2,500 each for Chase Cominsky, 35, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and Jacob Runyan, 42, of Ashtabula, Ohio. Both are free on bond and have been ordered not to have contact with the victims."

From an article I read about them today. Ordered not to have contact with the victims. [emoji38] I really hope they're talking about the other fishermen.

Probably the walleyes knowing our justice system.

Basically the way it works on your first court date you either plea not guilty or guilty. If you plea guilty it’s over and you wait to find out what the sentence is. Not guilty and you have your attorney make a plea bargain to drop all but maybe one charge and pay a small fine/couple days in jail. The court will agree to the plea bargain to save time and tax payer money. Anyone who gets an attorney is going to plea not guilty. If not you wouldn’t waste your money getting an attorney.

They sure look guilty to me....what will their defense be when judge/jury watch video of them cutting 2 large sinkers out of each of the fish they brought to the scales. Those fish ate and swallowed those identical sinkers????? Maybe they can get Johnny Cochran for their defense."If the sinkers don't fit...
You must acquit"
We all know what happen and want the hammer dropped on these guys but there defense could be is there is proof that shows them actually putting the weights in the fish it sucks but that's how attorneys work

Im still betting they plea deal and their lawyer gets them off simply cause they were disqualified from a fishing tourney..
No jail time, a small fine, and maybe their priveledges revoked...
I hope im wrong but im betting on that
Maybe, MAYBE, the boat and equipment that was confiscated gets taken away and auctioned..but im betting that gets returned too..

This may be true as they were never awarded the winnings, the one misstep by the tournament director. If I were their lawyer, my first argument would be that no crime was committed as they were disqualified prior to accepting any monetary award.

So many loopholes in these things but like I see it if you go and rob a bank but don't get the money your still in trouble

I’m thinking even with a good lawyer they are going to get time And a good hefty fine along with it. Way too much national attention and I believe they will pay the price for it. But that’s just my opinion and what I hope happens
