I have seem to have lost the crappie at CC. In spring the bite was good , now I throw a jig or minnow in 5-15ft of water near logs or stumps , I seem to run into schools of bluegill..where should I start looking now?

havent fished the dead sea much this year, but normally target the trees in deep water(15-30fow), that are near deeper water(30+). Early early mornings before the sun gets up, you can snatch up a few shallow, and then again after the sun goes down into the night. I think your a bank bound angler, so hunting crappies might be tricky. I can still remember seein the dock fishermen catching quite a few after dark at the sailboat ramp and furnace shores ramp, and saugeyes to boot, normally about this time of year.
Try using bass minnows if the bluegills are pestering you, wont stop them, but will hinder them some.
