We headed out of Bula this morning in search of steelhead. Trolled along the breakwall inside and out, no takers. Trolled the shoreline down to redbrook, still nothing. Headed out to 35' to 40' and headed back to the harbor and found a school. Boated 1 of 4 and pulled a limit of walleye in the process. Overall beautiful morning on the water. Probably my last trip in the boat this year.

Tried that program yesterday afternoon for eyes since I was solo and didn't want to run deep if I didn't have to. Set up in 38' west of the harbor. Had a steelie on a Bandit before I got my second rod out. Lost at the boat. got the second rod out with a small spoon and had a nice eye on, lost at the boat again. Fished for over an hour with nothing else. Lake was calm so I ran out to 65'. Had good marks and pretty steady action. Got my 6 all 20"-23" with a few throw backs in a short time. Coming into the harbor I trolled for steel for an hour and landed 1.
Had to put in up the river, Lakeshore was super low and not doable for me. The worker at the bait store said only 12" of water at the ramps although there was a half dozen trailers in the parking lot.
