Another Battery Question AGM/Reg Mix

I have a AGM battery as my #1 battery, and I need another #2 battery. I have the battery's attached to a Perko switch. I like have a second battery to run my radio and fishfinder when perch fishing and being anchored. When starting and running, I have the switch on all to charge both batteries.

Would I be ok to buy a regular interstate battery (non-AGM), to run on this setup? Note my Cabela's AGM is about 1 year old.

I have always been told to use battery's of the make and capacity to prevent issues. Someone else may be able to chime in with science ;-)

Sure I have 3 AGM's and one lead acid in my setup. All my batteries are of different age as well.

I'd say it depends on your charger. There should be some recommendations regarding like battery types etc. what kind of charger do you have?
