i bought 2 pairs this past fall used during deer season and dont have any complaints but it was a mild year as far as temps went so can't really say if they are better or worse
I've been using them for the past 3 seasons. Way warmer than merino wool. More expensive but worth it. I use alterra brand ones. Always wear a silk sock liner no matter what warm weather socks you choose
I bought a pair and will say they are VERY warm. However, pay attention to how they need to be washed and more importantly dried or else you'll end up like me. Had to Hulk Hogan stretch those bad boys to get back on my feet.
i went to buffalo wool four or five years ago they do very good all duck season in the washer and dryer. My son went alpaca he likes his didn't say anything about laundering them but might explain the smell when he takes his waders off.
I have two pairs from this past Xmas. I would agree with not so much warmer but definitely very comfortable. Almost slippery like the first time I wore them. I felt like I had to really tie up my boot laces tight.
Also once I accidentally machine dried a pair and it was a stretch event to get them back on my feet 🐾😂. With all that said ... I like em a lot and recommend at least a pair.
