A couple of the large ponds between Campsites C and A have boat ramps. There's also a pond to the west, near the horse trails, that has a ramp but it isn't much and I would be cautious about taking a boat and trailer there. Best bet would be the two ponds between C and A. You can spend all day at those two.

 

Pond #42 that runs beside campsite C does have a pretty decent gravel/Sand ramp. If I remember right, I think #41 also has a decent ramp.

 

Thanks for the info. I was down there on Saturday for the first time trying to find a place to fish. I spent ten times as much time walking as I did fishing.

 

Or you could leave the boat home all together & get yourself a nice cheap float tube / belly boat off the internet. You can fish any pond you want to with that kind of "boat". I've been tubin' AEP for several years now & LOVE it. In fact... I'm leaving Thursday for another AEP adventure.

 

I agree this is the ONLY way to fish AEP

 

Where do you keep your lures and tackle?

 

In my younger days, I LOVED tent camping, float tubing, & canoeing AEP ponds, hence my site name. A good fly fishing vest held all I would need for any type fishing (fly,spinning, casting) & my tubes also had pockets.

Most of the ponds have boat ramps , especially on PenRock road might not be the biggest fish in there though ,

 

I no longer tube & I haven't had a tube in years, but the best I ever owned was my Wood River Gliderider. That thing was very lightweight yet stable & tough as nails. Unfortunately, it's no longer made.
I'm 78 now with a bum shoulder & declining balance.....shore bound now, except for when I luck into an infrequent boat outing.
