I stopped by the seafood store today to pick up some salmon and cod. They had some pretty average looking bluegill fillets there (farm raised) for $13.39 per pound! They were almost $5 per pound more than the salmon!!

Gez. I'm going to have to turn into a bluegill fisherman.

Hey, I got an idea, go to a garage sale, buy an old rod and reel for 3.00, waxies for 2.00 (?) gas to drive to the local lake...................never mind. Buy the fish.

It's actually Tilapia. They refer to it as 'farm raised bluegill' for us Americans.

It's farmed in China in filthy ponds that are pretty much filled with sewage.

    But hey, enjoy.
