WTB - I am looking for a single canoe trailer for a 16' canoe, not having any luck finding one, any help would be appreciated.

  4. Get a utility trailer, put a tongue extension on it. I have one that works great. I made mine so the extension goes on and off easily. Get some channel that matches your tongue. Overlap it the length of the short tongue (underneath). At the back, attach a couple of pieces of angle that hang down past the extension. Drill thru the original tongue and angle. A bolt or pin goes here. Weld a trailer ball on the extension where the coupler is on the trailer. You now have a 2 point conection for the extension. Wired up an extension cord for the lights. Easier to store, and you can use it to haul as well! I think the overall extension on mine is 10 feet. Hope this helps!
