Why does that not surprise me CK?
By the way I won $550.00 at the casino on our way to Canada. Lost $300.00 on the way back. Still came out ahead. Should have drove on past BUT NO!!
Just had to try one more time. %&*&$*^&!! someday I'll learn.
  5. WSOP is huge now, so are all the other events. Its really amazing! If you want to see some real crazy poker action come to any college campus, people are gamblin away tuition.
  6. Hey Dale at least you still came out ahead. Last time I was in Vegas I came home with exactly 10 bucks more than I took and I was thrilled about it. I'm sure you had a good time playing;)

Fishmason, I took some of that tuition money when i was in college. Used to play 2 or 3 times a week, and for some pretty big money. I just play a few times a year now for small money. Played in Vegas last year and that was a lot of fun. I stayed at Binions, where the WSOP is played, but was too nervous to play there so I had to go some place else.
  7. Here's a sight from the folks at Copenhagen where you can enter to play on line and get a chance at a seat at the 2005 WSoP

Played in a tourney down at Springfield Catholic Sunday. My first heat was the Sunday before; top 30 of each of the 300+ in each of 10 heats went to the finals. Made it to the finals, believe I was around 120 when I went out. $50buy in, Top prize was an entry to WSOP + Airfare and hotel or $20,000+ cash. The great part was the school cleared over $100,000
  9. Great job making it to the finals, that must have been awsome. I heard about that and wanted to play but already had plans for that weekend. How many people was in the tourny total? Did the winner take the cash or is he in Vegas right now playing? There is a place in Lancaster that is having one next weekend to raise money. Seems like poker is taking the place of raffles and things as a fund raiser.
  10. Yeah they can make alot of money doing tourneys like that(springfield Catholic). I heard that its not against the law to have big tourneys like that if you give like 2% to a non profit organization. So im gonna hold some monster ones next year at OSU.

The winner of the WSOP this year won his seat via a $120 online (PokerStars)satellite tourney and he won $5 MILLION..

I'm in the wrong business for sure.
  12. hey fishmason, nothing wrong with playing poker as long as the house is not taking a cut of the pot.
  13. Hey bigjohn, thats pretty cool about your bro. Do you ever go or play in any of the tounements with him? Are there any in Ohio or does he go to Vegas, Tunica, or Atlantic City? I've heard Biloxi is pretty good for poker also.

Theres a local poker game in columbus. They advertise it in the dispatch under "charity and gaming" right beside the Bingo listings. Thye usually play 3-6 and 10-20 holdem there if you guys are interested.
  15. Is that advertised in the classified ads? I have never seen it but would like to check it out, thanks for the info.
16.,,,..that is probably the three best...if you sign up please use my email for the extra cash..if your lucky enough you can win your entries into satellites for free...
  17. Is on-line poker really that fun? Just seems to me like it would be kinda boring. I like being able to look at the people I'm playing against and trying to figure them out. Seems to me it would be like playing solitare on the computer.
