i assume that would work, not what i have seen used in the past, ill search around and see what i find.
  4. I've heard not to use wd-40 cause it attracts dirt and unwanted stuff. All i ever hear is a good reel oil and grease.
  5. Back off any drag or antibacklash controls and store in a dry place. It would be preferable to clean and lube before storage. I cannot see any spray that would be a magic bullet and may do harm if sprayed in the wrong place.
  6. There is something I have seen at wal mart called reel magic and I think it is to spray your line to make it cast better but may have other uses too. Is this what you are thinking of?
  7. Kevin VanDam's Line and lure conditioner ar Bass Pro

Blakemare's Reel Magic at Cabelas, Dicks, K-Mart, and Wal-Mart

Or any silicone spray from your local auto parts store...;)
