Winch that pulls the boat up the trailer

    My broke yesterday and need to replace it. Does anyone know what to look for as for as brand or anything? Will one from Walmart work or should I go to the marina? Thanks

    the ones from walmart are ok for small boats 16 ft or less. if your boat is bigger, go to west marine or boat u.s.

    I replaced mine with one from Meijer, and it works great, but I have a 16' ft aluminum bass boat. You could also hit Bass Pro if it's close enough.

    Jaredj: you can get one most anywhere as long as it's a heavy duty one. Walmart does sell heavy duty ones as well as most any store that sells boat stuff. Miejer, Andersons etc. They should have a weight limit on the package. Also may say up to 16' boat or 18' etc.
