I feel there is less trash around Huron this year.I have had years couldn't keep a worm on the harness put out a reef runner and have 2 white bass hooked at the same time. Seems the perch and walleye are starting to fire up here, this time of year it is normally kinda slow east of Kelley's to Huron. Sorry but the trash must like the deep cool water with less floating allege in your part of the lake.

I talked to a guy this week who picked up a nice catch of perch fishing at the Huron dump. He said he caught 10 trash fish for every perch he pulled up.

We had the same results all summer north, west and east of Vermilion. Maybe things will change when the cooler weather sets in.

Glad to read the perch are starting to hi in your area.:)
