Hell yeah. I've always used a white split tail jig with a little spinner and cleaned up on them since I was a kid and my Uncle Bob took me out there 30+ years ago
I'll have to remember that. I was going by my Easter lilies lol and they're in bloom as of yesterday. Must be an old wives tale. I'm just anxious to get some fresh fish on my plate, I admit it!
My buddy always said around Mother's day weekend, give or take a week. I already got into them pretty good on the Ohio River this weekend but they are staging right now,chasing bait. They haven't run up the creek yet, probably a couple more weeks until that starts.
Yep, when the dogwoods bloom in May. On the river at the bridge. Same thing 30-40 yrs ago. They can get in there pretty thick especially when the females show up. Waders and jigs all day.
