Where are the crappie spawning?

Discussion in 'Fishing Reports - Out of State' started by MarbleEYEs, Mar 4, 2009.

  1. I have a week of spring break coming up starting the 18th and was wondering if there are any crappie spawning down south yet. Would like to set up a nice little trip to do some fishing and camping

  2. From what i understand on another site it sounds like east Fork down by Cinci is doing it right now.

The crappie are on the beds in Toho, Kissimmee and Blue Cypress lakes in Florida. The cold fronts come through and push them back down deep for a day or two. Prime time is just starting down there.
My buddy and I will be here on the 18th and 19th.

Middletowns is a great place to camp. It's FREEEE for tent campers! On the lake too. Call Jeanne for more information.

  4. I don't think you will see any spawning in Ohio for another month plus. They will start staging to shallower areas in a few weeks but in most Ohio waters they will not spawn until May I don't believe.
