Recently I have been asked by several people new to river fishing what CFS is. Basic definition is cubic feet per second, this indicate the volume of water pushing through at given times. The levels can be found on USGS web site under water resources. THere are also guage hieghts and temps on some as well. This can be a useful tool as you can watch flows to determine if a trip out is worth the effort or how to prepare for you day on the river. americanwhitewater.org can also provide this info as desinged for boaters and has alot of valueable info. I hope this helps S
