This past couple weeks has been the kind of Walleye bite that makes you truly appreciate summers on Erie. These trips we have limited or came darn close, even with throwing back 17 inchers and under. Its nice to see all these smaller fish after the hawg fest we had earlier this summer.

Yesterday's 2-man limit came in less than 2 hours, seemingly on any program we wanted to run green harnesses on. 4 fish on a dipsy, 4 on a TT jet, and 4 on a 2 oz in-line 70 back. Rarely got 4 poles in the water, one pull - no turns, normal speed. Its also nice that its hard to go wrong choosing anywhere between 32-18 and 40-24 while knowing the guys in skinny water off Cranberry are catching as well. We did have our share of white bass issues but if they hadn't been there we probably wouldn't have got to fish much longer than an hour before limiting, and that's just less time fishing. Who needs that.
