wet sanding

  1. How fine a grit do most peole use when wet sanding eopxy to get a smooth finish? I've finally gotten full coverage on those few plugs that had initally not taken the epoxy very well and I'd like to smooth them out a bit.

  2. Plugman, If I added to the spot with a big drip I will go with 150 to start. 220 and then to 320 grit. I have an air palm sander that I dip into water and use also. Man does the slurry go flying. I do it in a big cardboard box now. Keps is from going all over the place.

Be carefull about sanding through the paint below.

  3. Thanks, Tigger. I'll be doing it the old fashioned way. Elbow grease.
I'll just need to be sure I keep things wet. I suspect the fish don't care too much.
