Fish south of the old G-can location on the Canadian border Friday afternoon, fishing was slow, walleyes were small, we took 14 (four people) in 5 hours. The small marks are thick and I can't tell if they are trash fish, may flies or small walleye but they are thick. IF these as I suspect are the 2003 class walleye we are going to be in high cotton in another couple of years when all these little guys grow up. The reason I think they may be small walleye is thats the only small fish we are catching, time will tell.
Mayflies were thick as we left the marina on Catawba and drove back toward Port Clinton, the sky was full of them about dusk. The only good thing I can think to say about may flies is they don't have teeth.
