I guess it is no secret that there are walleye out of Lorain. We fished Friday and Saturday using a brand new mast that someone gave me and planers that I built. We mostly hugged the Canadian border (at least I hope we hugged it.) I don't know that we ever found a specific pattern. We used Jets between 80 and 120 feet back and they were hitting on everything. Maybe a gold double willow harness and a chartreuse with pink spots spoon did a little better. Close to limits both days. We could have done better if my buddies would stop taking pictures of their fish long enough to help with the lines. My dad was very excited. It was the heaviest cooler he has seen in a long time. Maybe trolling is a little more efficient than an Erie Derie.
