Repairing the floor of my boat and I have a question about waterproofers.

What would you guys recommend for this?

I only have to replace a 12" by 14" section, but I am going to reseal the entire floor before the new carpet goes down.

    Thanks in advance.

If the floor is plywood by all means re-seal it. Thompsons or anything like that will do fine. I'd put at least two coats on it, then install the carpet with a good water proof glue. This should last you a long time.

Try Helmsman Spar Urethane by Minwax. Comes in spray can and, I believe, in cans from which you can brush it on. At any home improvement store. I used it on a transsom that I had to rebuild. It has held up for two years, with no sign of deteriation.
