Don't try this at home kids. These are trained professionals under the guidance of Captain Morgan.

Props to my buddy "Buck" for having enough wit about him to slow down the shutter speed of his cam to capture such excellence!

Cool thing was, my buddies (who don't even fish) suggested it.

Did one in the snow this year too, but didn't use sparklers :D

Holly crap!!!! That is the best non-fishing OGF pic I think I have seen.

    SWEET!!!!!!!!!

    flash----------------------out

  13. Not questioning the validity of the picture, but why aren't their hands and arms blurred? If the shutter was slowed down enough to capture the path of the sparkler, shouldn't it also capture the path of their hands and arms? Can a tech geek (;)) answer this for me?

  14. Waaay cool! Nice shot! We'll have to try that one.

That's actually a good question. I have zero photography knowledge other than button mashing, so my only guess is that maybe the sparklers acted as a secondary flash of sorts, illuminating the immediate area providing a clean image?

We hit 5 tries before we had a good shot and looking at the first 4 pics, none are blurred.

Bet that just made your day thinking back on those LOL. I should have some very cool pics coming up this weekend. We're all moved into Colorado and we're heading up to the mountains this weekend. I think I'm heading somewhere fishing Saturday. A couple guys of the Colorado site are really gool and one guy is going to show me the ropes for Native Cutthroat trout. How cool is that.

I'll be back in Ohio for my 2 weeks starting July 8th. We should hook up one of the weekend days and hit Alum or somewhere. You still enjoying the eye fishing up that way?
