I've been kicked out of Wallace many times by the ranger after 11:00. Thats usually how I know when its time to go home:D . They never give you a problem though just ask you to leave. Devildog and I were down there last week and caught two decent sized cats. Through them both back. Have fun.

They will kick you out, fishing or otherwise. The only exception was many years ago when I had a cat over 30" on the line. The ranger stuck around and helped me net it, then escorted me out. 11:00pm is the time that you have to be out.

If they don't kick you out, the Berea police will -- but it would probably be with a ticket. If you have somewhere to park overnight (no parking on streets overnight), you can fish the northwest side of the lake all night if you're careful (limit light usage, keep quiet, etc.).

Best time for cats is right after or during a hard rain, best after a dry period. Fish near where the runoff flows into the lake with hot dogs (1/3 to 1/2 dog on a large hook + slip sinker) for some big cats and even bigger carp. Keep the bail open and/or rod secured or you may lose the whole outfit. I've witnessed over a dozen (including a few of my own) get pulled in.

If we get the rain forecast for tomorrow evening, the big cats should have the feedbag on after this long dry period.
