I'll be heading down to the Columbus area next weekend and wanted to get a few hours in (plus I will need to get away because I'll be attending my 5 year old nephew's birthday party). I'll be staying in the Galena area and wanted to get your guys input on a few spots to hit. I'm not asking for your honey holes, but somewhere to hook some half way decent largemouth.
I'm driving from the Cleveland area on Friday night and staying in the Columbus area till Sunday afternoon. I also know that Cabela's will be on my list of places to hit while I'm down there.

You'll be sitting on top of the big walnut creek and north end of Hoover reservoir. Get on google earth and search the water ways in that area. There are a few good spots to wad the creek in that area as well. Should be some good bass, white bass and gar in that area. Also depending where your staying there is a good chance you could be walking distance to the water.
