How is the vermilion river in the fall, for chrome? My father-in-law lives out that way and I've tried it just a hand full of times, but really don't know the river at all. I'd really like to give it another try and hopefully get on some fish.

There is a lot of information available through the ODNR website in regard to the Vermilion river. The fishing for chrome can be very good there.

FYI...you probably will not get much more of a response than what I put above. A lot of the "V" is fishable, but there is also a lot of private property that must be respected.

Read up...put on your waders...and go take a look.

I was fishing for bass and hooked on to a decent steel last week but light tippet didn't help worth a damn so. They are in right now so but may not be many.

Wet wade as you don't nee waders yet.
