  1. HELLO ALL
I PROMISED AN UPDATE ON SALEM RESERVOIR, THEY WILL BE CLOSING ON
SEPT 26th: AS FOR THE FISHING REPORT: I WENT OUT FROM 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM MANAGED 9 BASS 2 18" THE BASS FISHING WAS SLOW ON ARTIFICIALS WITH LIVE BAIT, CATCHING MORE FISH. MAINLY SHINERS, OTHER FISHERMEN WERE CLEANING UP ON PERCH AND SMALL WALLEYE. ONE GENTLEMAN CAUGHT 20 PERCH AND CRAPPIE. THE PANFISH HAVE BEEN ACTIVE. SOME NICE CATFISH WERE ALSO BEING CAUGHT, ON LIVE BAIT AND BEEF LIVER FISHED OFF THE DAM. THE WEEDBEDS THIS YEAR ARE HARD TO FIND, BUT IF YOU CAN FIND THEM YOU CAN CATCH A LOT OF FISH. AS FOR THE CONDITIONS: PRTLY CLDY, 72 SLIGHT WIND WATER: SLIGHT STAIN VIS. 1- 4 ' WITH A LITTLE ALGEA BLOOM ON THE WATER. THERE WAS A LOT OF SURFACE ACTIVITY BUT THEY WERE MOSTLY PANFISH AND CARP, HE BASS AREN'T CHASING FAST MOVING LURES, SLOW DOWN YOUR PRESENTATION FOR BEST RESULTS. HOPE THIS HELPS, GOOD FISHING.
