type of cat

Discussion in 'Catfish Discussion' started by Walter Adkins, Aug 13, 2005.

  1. I was out the other night wade fishing for bass and came upon these little cats in the ripples. They looked almost like a madtom. I do not believe that there are madtoms around here. They may have been shuvel heads and just not big enough to have all of the traits yet. I do know that they were not channel or mud cats. I also saw several channels feeding around in the shallows. I had my light on the tail of one and got to watch it eat a crawdad, now that was cool. One second there is crawdad and the next it is gone. All of the cats I came upon could have cared less if I was there as lond as I did not shine my light directly in their eyes or touched them.
