Sunday's 15 mph north wind kept us off the lake for a few hours in the morning. Headed out of Magee East around 9am and went to the area west of Big Pickeral Reef again. We set up north of where we caught our fish yesterday and began drifting through the same area. The first 2 drifts were pretty unproductive giving us only 2 fish. We had to deal with a bunch of 12" Walleye - more than we have seen all year. We caught the trash can slam of sheeps, white perch, and the first white bass of the year for us. Until the Admiral quit bottom bouncing and started casting a crawler harness, it looked like we might run out of bait before we caught our limit. Drift #3 produced another 9 walleye including a 23 incher. The only problem was that the sheep kept coming. Reeling faster didn't help keep them away. Finally caught fish #12 on the last half night crawler. Gold spinner blades with red beads on a 9 count seemed to be the ticket.
