Little Rapala's and Rooster tails, pinch the barbs down so you can shake them loose. As you are supposed to keep the first 5 you catch and leave. We lost all fish until we were ready to leave then kept the 5 each. They school and bite on every cast probably caught 100 fish each, have fun and do not rush yourself. Boring after a while if that is possible. Spinning gear.

Cast a small jig tipped with a night crawler under a bobber upstream and reel the slack in so the jig will sink. Thats a great set up for kids. I like to cast size 10 rapala husky jerks for larger fish. Caught some good fish also on a heddon torpedo top water. What ever size crankbait you choose fish larger than you think you would normally would use. You should catch larger fish. Fish there twice this year. We took turns to help spread out the fishing time. You can literally pass one rod around for your whole group. The place is awesome.

Piss poor that you would do this. No wonder there are dead fish on the bottom of the creek.

If you would like to be picky and not leave the creek littered with dead fish try fly fishing with a larger streamer. If a small fish grabs the fly just do not set the hook and they will spit it out. This way you can try for a larger brown if you can find one. Seams like when you target a larger fish as soon as you try for it a group of smaller fish will move in that part of the pool. Fish are 15-18" on average. Most are 16" long. There are a few browns pushing around 5 pounds. Look for the browns in the under cut banks.

wooly buggers on a fly rod there is very fun but you will catch your fish quick. I won that lottery a few years ago on a fly only day. more challenging but still very easy fishing

weekender#1 they should make sure you are unable to fish the creek anymore. Being able to fish the hatchery is a blessing and people like you tend to ruin it for everyone. Nice job bro.
