I have a rather large pine tree (2.5 stories or so) next to the house that needs removed. Anyone have any companies in town they recommend?

    Thanks!

  4. Shakedown,
Just cut it down yourself. It's only a pine!! Have a couple OGF guys come on over with a few 12 packs and you'll have it down in a jiffy!! :p LOL

Guess he didn't think it was funny.

    Uhhh Michigan?

Sorry coolerz...didnt see your reply!! Thought about that, but considering the proximity to my neighbors, i cant risk it goin thru their living room window :D

Company i hired is comin out today actually...

  11. Make sure you find out whether that particular pine has any timber value. One that height should surely have a very good diameter. If it is a valued timber you could get a nice chunk of cash from it.

    Mitch,

Can Hydromaster handle taking down an oak tree about 4' in dia and 50+ft tall?

I have 4 trees that need to be cut down and the stumps removed. It will require a crane for at least part of this work

    1 oak - really big, 1 black walnut 14" dia x 35', 2 ash, 25" dia x 40+ ft.

If you think they can handle a project of that size I will give them a call.

    Thanks

  13. I assume you are looking at lumber value in those trees? In particular an oak that size and the fact that walnut is probably the second highest valued lumber would make it worth cash as well. You probably already know that but I just thought I would mention it because I hear guys every now and then just simply wanting trees gone and not realizing what they could be worth.

Lundy...I just had mine removed for half of what hydro wanted...and they did a sweet job. I'll give you the info.

  15. Your pine may have not had any value but it really sounds like Lundy may be able to collect from his removal rather than pay.;)
