Trailer question

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by HammerHeadHank, Aug 5, 2007.

  1. Hi, I just bought a boat, motor, trailer combo and have a question about the trailer. It appears that it is a tilt trailer, so how would one take advantage of it ? what purpose is it for ? Also the bonding wire ( ground ) is only about a foot long is this a problem ? Thanks,HammerHeadHank

it really only come in handy for a primitive launch ramp where there is only a bank,or drop off to the water. it may a help a bit in a shallow water launch.all wires will have to be long enough though.

  3. i've had 3 and havent found a good use other than what fn said...just launch as usual
  4. Got a tilt trailer for my 14ft. works great on just about any ramp, what I like about it is when I pull the boat out of the water I do not have to sink the wheels under water.

we use it only for duck hunting mostly. we have launched in some primitive places, like the little portage river launch and willow point launch on the bay.
