Field & Stream's March issue was all about, "Your Best Lures, 35 Killer Baits for bass, walleyes, crappies and trout." I was wondering if you only could use 3 lures this spring what would they be? What species you fish for and what lures you trust over all others.
Later I will post Field & Stream's 35 killer baits.

  4. Bass --- Jig and pig. Worked very slowly on the bottom with a highly visible line, Power-Pro green would work.

Walleyes --- Jig with a twister tail. Slow steady retrieve should do it. Fire-Line or Power-pro again.

Bass, Eyes or any thing that wants to take it. One of the suspending/neutral buoyancy baits, X- Rap, XR 8, 10 or Husky Jerk HJ8, 10.

If I can use live bait, I’ll have me a bucket of minnows and a few slip bobber rigs for them Eyes. Trilene XL clear in 4 or 6 lb test will work for me on the 10 ft rods.
