When Dean was sawing that bow back and forth across Clark's neck, I wonder how much that hurt? A properly rosined bow grabs the string pretty good, causing it to vibrate, and thus produce a tone.

I remember reading an article about a reunion party that Ian Anderson threw for everybody that had been in Jethro Tull over the year. Martin Barre said he walked in and "there's like 50 blokes in the room!" It might have been the same article, but when Barre was scheduled to record the guitar solo to Aqualung, he looked in the control room and saw none other than Jimmy Page in there. Talk about nervous! After he laid down the track he looke in again and saw Page standing with huge smille on his face applaucing! Whew!

Duane Allman was born November 20, 1946 Nashville. He died in the motorcycle crash October 29, 1971 Macon, Georgia. Posted most of the good video footage here lately for other reasons, this audio track is from January '69 while Duane was still part of the Muscle Shoals session band (recorded in NYC). A few months before the ABB went out on the road. First appeared on Aretha's 1970 "This Girl's in Love with You" album, then after his death on "An Anthology" 1972. Legend is that Aretha stated "Get me that skinny white boy that plays like a black man" (or words to that effect) ...cover of The Bands "The Weight"

Interesting factoid about either Sonny Geraci or Eric Carmen. Both are from Cleveland. One of them was in California trying to get a solo career started, and had befriended songwriter Alan O'Day. One day O'Day bring them a song he had just written. The sone was "Rock and Roll Heaven"! Geraci or Carmen looked at it and pronounced it a can't miss hit! They rehearsed it, recorded it, and released it. To absolutely no reaction! It bombed! Several years late the Righteous Brothers released it as a cover, and ti rocketed to the top of the charts!
