Went to an Iron Butterfly concert in Morehead,Ky. in 1969, & after they had played for over an hour the lights started to dim & Ron Bushy picked up a pair of orange drumsticks. We all wondered what that was all about until they hit the beginning notes of In A Gadda Da Vida. When the drum solo hit,the lights went off and a black light shown on Ron Bushy. All you could see were the flash of orange drumsticks for about seven minutes. Now that was pretty impressive for the time

Too bad old Hank didn't keep true to that song.
Shame. He saw the light at the bottom of a bottle (whiskey and pills). He's not even 30 in the old clips, yet looks 50. He did have the sh*^ beat out of him in a bar fight a couple nights before dying in the back of the Cadillac. Had a severely bruised groin and a visible welt on his forehead. Cause of death was ruled "insufficiency of the right ventricle of the heart". RIP

I used to like the song "Signs" until, later in life, I realized how juvenile the lyrics were! They actually played YSU's Kilcawley Hall for a lunchtime concert. I guess they were in transit from Cleveland to Pittsburgh and stopped off to make a little extra money.
