It is time to wade the rivers, and find your spots for the up and comming season. Now is the time to find those new holes where the steelies may sit during higher flow times in the fall/winter.

Grab your spinning rod, and some tubes, and inline spinners, then head out to your favorite river and do some smallie fishing. During your trek up and down the river, make mental notes, as well as maybe even a notebook and gps. Mark down all the prospective holes that you would like to try out during steelie season.

Putting in some time right now will pay dividens when the steelhead begin their fall run.

New home and baby both in the past year as I recall? - just figured your 'honey do' list was keepn ya from the fishing...

I walked quite a bit of the V yesterday... fished some of the holes briefly - caught a couple Rock bass... was fun to be out. Can't wait for the Fall!

    well there is that too...haha...

New Baby, New Home, New responsibilites = less fishing.

Less Fishing = each time you get out to fish, you enjoy it more.
