I recently bought a new CVA Wolf w/ a Konus scope for about $200 (it was discounted) from Dick's Sporting Goods as birthday gift for my son. (Tidbit - I mounted a Simmons scope on a Ruger 10/22 a few yeras ago and I was pleased with the performance. However, I think the Konus scopes are generally superior to the Simmons scopes.) I agree that at $160, that gun/scope combo isn't a steal, but if it's already sighted in and it seems to shoot well, than it's a pretty good deal. We sighted in this particular ML about two weeks ago. CVA recommends shooting Powerbelts. I've been using the 295 grain Cu jacketed HPs. I followed the recommendation and used two pellets of Seven and I am satisfied with the results. So, if you need a ML, go for it.
