This weekend @ Delaware and Alum

Discussion in 'Central Ohio Fishing Reports' started by FishingDog, Jun 8, 2007.

  1. I know I'm a little late wiyh this, but hey gang I'm headed for both Delaware and Alum lake this weekend and was wondering where the best and safest place to launch my boat was at Alum. I've never boat there before. Also, I've never been fishing on Alum either, so where is the best place to start for crappie? Which state park has the best camp areas? Thanks in advance!

  2. I like the park at Alum. It has fairly large sites and also has a boat ramp just for the campground. Couldn't tell you about the crappie. I've only fished for saugeye there. The campground is about half way up the lake, where the causeway crosses.

both parks are nice. delaware gets less pressure for sure.
shallow crappies shouldnt be a problem in either lake.
