I stopped out at the dept of fishing headquarters and had a 40 minute talk with a really nice guy and very educated. He said all fish spawns are off by about 3 weeks this year due to the cold snap we had at a cridical time. I was shown where the sunken fish attractors and brush piles were sunk on different lakes to mark my map. He said they would be placing about 6 new attractors piles at Piedmont within the next few weeks.

I asked him which lakes would he pick in my area as the best fishing lakes > Piedmont and Seneca Lakes because of the electro-shock test results. Huge Saugeye and Crappie counts. Plus Seneca Lake gets extra stockings of fish because the hachery is right there and the extra fish fry are easy to dump in.

I didn't know how much those guys do and how hard they work to help fisherman and keep lakes in good fish shape.:G
