Super afternoon bite

  1. WalleyeGuy and Shortdrift hit a private lake in Western Medina county around 4pm today. The lake is a 12 to 14 acre rectangle and ranges from 3 feet at the shallow end to 20 feet at the deep end. We are allowed to fish it one more time and were told to take the bluegil out and leave the bass. We hit the jackpot in the deep end. Fifty five Gills and Sunfish in an hour and thirty five minutes. Lost at least 15 fish.
Around 8 fish in the 8 inch size, three or four in the 11 inch size, seven in the 10 inch size and remainder in the 9 inch range. Super fun and great fight coming up in deep water. Also caught one bass around 13 inches and each of us lost something big that we did not see, probably bass as the panfish had shut down then turned on again as soon as we lost the large fish, whatever it was. Will hit this lake one more time and hope we get the same great action.
