You can go to www.basshavencanada.com and register (quick and painless) and read about the lake and river there. Which side are you staying on...Ontario or Michigan? We go to Mitchell's bay and do really well there.

  3. Thanks for the info. We got a motel on the michigan side, but we got our Walpole and canadian fishing liscences.
The fishing up there was really bad compared to the last 5 yrs. We would boat 4-5 smallies a day biggest only 16 1/2 was the biggest. We got a few little pike a little 28 inch muskie and a few 20 -22 inch walleyes. all the fish other then the pike came on tube jigs. The fishing was so slow we went to Winsor Canada to the casino, then left a day early to go to lake erie. Wich was a good choice since i caught 5 smallies all inbetween 18 -18 3/4 inches, and missed about just as many because we were trolling with planers and cranks.I also caught a few decent walleye.

Yeah, I know. It has been slow for us up there too. Make sure you check your Walpole license if you go back up, they expire sometime in Sept. (maybe already) because of the duck season. Another option for this time of year is to go across and just past Windsor is a place called Deerbrook. Go out of there and fish the area called the Belle River Hump (South end), it can produce some nice smallies along with everything else!!!!
