What size, colors and type are working out of Catawba right now? Last time i was there 10 yrs ago small stingers were best in purple. I have lots of husky jerks but not deep HJ and dont really want to buy more so I'm planning on running the regulars off dipseys. Comments? Cannot wait to get there thurs. it's been a while. Thank you

The Scorpion (small Stingers) will catch but you'll get alot of trash. We run the regular scorpions to minimize the junk. Color wise Purple and pinks, but also green and golds as well as blue and white. The fish are feeding on shad, shiners and perch, so match the prey. We are also catching walleyes on smaller cranks, 600 and 400 Reef Runners are what we use, but guys are running 1/4 oz toots and Bagley DDKB2s (if you have or can find them). good luck.

You can put a 2 oz snap weight 20 ft ahead of your cranks to get them down if you don't want to use dipsy's
